Monday moving musings

Pamalicious on Jun 16th 2008 01:10 pm

fathers day 08 Happy Monday Ya’ll!  I’ve come to the conclusion that outside of professional photographers I take the most pictures out of everybody I know and about 25% of the people I don’t know, lol lol  One of my major projects that one day I will accomplish will be to get all my pictures together and in boxes with phase two being on disk so I never lose them.  Yea okay in my lifetime, lol

Whew back on a ‘real’ computer.  Yet, let me give MAD PROPS to the Blackberry line of phones. I have stayed and am staying connected to the internet world through that little sucka!! OH YEA!  For the first time in a long time - I won’t be itching to change phones, even though I’ve ‘touched’ that new Ipod phone, I’m a loyal crackberry!

That’s just my baby daddy!

Pamalicious on Jun 15th 2008 05:19 pm

Fathers Day. 1/2 the play of Mothers Day but oh so important.

Caun is working on his 4th carload of stuff as we try to wrap this move up. A man he is in every sense of the word.

Fathers Day is still very painful for me. I kinda look at it as a spectator which is an improvement from years where I totally ignored it. The searing pain at not being able to call my daddy or see him is still very much a part of the broken part of my heart. The confusion about relating to my biological is always present. Its just a confusing time for me.

I do pay homage to the men who do. I now have seen the pain in my mans eyes so my tolerance for the smug man who can’t figure it out is about nil. J from the gates (on blackberry can’t link). Summed it up all nice.

God blessed us to see Aniah. So hearing her laughter in this now echoing home is a good thing. Her slightly ashamed that she had nothing for her father evident but gentle words to calm her 7 1/2 year old weary bones slowly brought out that smile.

Well I hope that this day was spent reflecting. Was spent being thankful. Was spent celebrating sometimes in spite of. Was spent swallowing the bile from the pain on behalf of our little ones and stepping up to the plate stick on dick in place in light of the absence of the real one

I tell yah tomorrow can’t get here fast enough.

The Ghetto Move that Could

Pamalicious on Jun 14th 2008 07:43 pm

As I sit here on the air mattress looking around I really wanna know how I get myself into these things. There is definitely a reason this is the ADVENTURES of Pamalicious lol.

Let me back up to ten this morning when we go to pick up the uhaul from the pet shop. Yes you heard me. This dude had about three different businesses lol. I should have known then

Last move Caun moved us by hisself. Well this time I requested he reach out to some of these folks he been doing charity work for to assist us. Just for an afternoon with drinks maybe some freebies and pay. Well apparently phone lines were down in all parts of the city cause all of a sudden everyone got ghost. I didn’t even make an attempt to ask actual friends. I don’t think that happens anymore. You know friends getting together to do that kinda stuff. Nothing wrong with it on the surface but intrinistically I think something is. But anyhoo, we found someone.

So for as much as I had packed. There was stuff I hadn’t. I’m looking at it now. How did I miss most of the kitchen? Mini me brought down I know 200 hefty bags wow.

So you ask why am I at the old house? Well apparently georgia utilities are out to get me and nobody can show up till thursday! Then the previous occupants were poor white trash ambassadors and they were stealing electric and cable and fucked up the meters so. Electricians have to come out. Its all a mess. So we are now camping out at the old crib. Its kinda cute

I am laughing because I’m having a moment with caun where we sat and thought about if we were in our twenties sitting in the empty living room eating on the floor how newly married that would be lol. When I moved in with hubby one the place was fully furnished down to the towels by his dad so go figure I’ve never done thw two pieces of furniture thang so this is cute.

Well I’m blogging from the black berry so let me let my fingers rest. I’m actually in the car on the way to the new joint with a flash light we accidently packed up the laptop.

I am also looking forward to doing it campground style on the air mattress lol.

Friday Fandango - Movin on up

Pamalicious on Jun 13th 2008 10:57 am

Well I’m trying to get this blog in before stuff gets shut down.  Tomorrow is moving day.  I suppose I’m ready. It’s gonna be an interesting weekend. That’s all I got to say…

I will never move on more Prayer than Wing. I need a lot more wing in my wing and a prayer.

Now that Craigslist is on my blackberry, am I officially addicted to virtual yard sales?

Exactly why did my insurance go down $85 dollars because of my new zip code?  What else is about to go down because I’ve moved out the hood.

Is my family tired of the tv’s being stuck on HGTV?

Why do they still make that stretchy fabric for big girls?  Is that some type of clothing industry inside joke?

When will they make MATCHING SETS of panties/bras in the plus size stores. What exactly is the point of having all those vibrant Vicky looking panties with no matching bras!?

Do you know this person?  You rattling off your supposed plans but something happens or what not and you’re not able to follow through, YET this person makes sure that they do on your plans.  You decide to say get a weave, but end up putting it off due to finances, but this person shows up with a weave. Are they a plan stealer?  Do you want to say something outlandish to see if they will rush out and do it?

My stress has been so high and my nerves so shot - that my stomach stays on empty.  I mean I’ve been starving!!  it’s like I can’t fill up.  I guess that’s a good thing - I haven’t gained any weight, lol

Don’t be mad because you cleaned all the carpets and the scotch guard etc. and say it’s a $400 job but I have a coupon for $200.

And yes I gave the Brother who was doing all the real work, $15 to get him some lunch!

I feel like I just want to go to sleep and never get up, lol

Um, I’m exercising my right to be a Cougar - Trey Songs and Chris Brown got my nose open.  Their two songs:  Last Time and Take You Down respectively, are just reeking of young male sweat, lol lol  Dayum! Add in Little Romeo and I’m gonna need ME to sit down somewhere, lol

If I move again - I will be in a position to get movers - So I can just get my make up kit and go, lol

Summer time means new ring tone:  How about "Jump on it" as used in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air by the sugar hill gang.  Can’t wait for this to go off in the elevator, lol

I left my pants and sandals in the garage.  You talking about needing to just air out, lol lol

I had to literally talk aloud to myself to leave the Thrift Store. I went in to get some curtains, because I don’t want to hang sheets (lol) and the very aroma of good stuff overtook me.  I left just in time with 3 curtains for downstairs that I can eventually use in Mini-me’s room and one portrait of a black ballerina that was $3.00  A signed print no less!!

I want to work on getting BCPC’s room together so that (God Willing) by the time we see her - it can be a big surprise.

Well I need to do a bit of school work (yea I’m back in) since I probably won’t have time this weekend.

Ya’ll have a good weekend and of course I’ll have tales to tell when I get back on Monday.

Gas -vs- food

Pamalicious on Jun 11th 2008 07:23 am

As I was cruising down I-20 this morning blaring Duran Duran out of my open windows, I almost stopped dead in the freeway as I saw a camper towing a car beside me.  My first reaction was to throw back a few haterades because of the fact they could even get that sucka out the driveway. How much does it cost to fill that so and so up?!  Doesn’t that thing get 5 MPG?!  Whew!
