I almost didn’t make this one, lol  I had decided that I didn’t have to treat the blog like a ‘job’ and be all up in here posting on a schedule. Just let it flow - - which is why I did other things today. 

This week has been quite bloggy and wordy.  A good way to start off 2008. Thanks to everyone who has posted and read this week.  336 drive by’s this week!  Aint B Scott Numbers but they work for me

Well since this week was intense with my Live or Memorex post getting alot of attention.  I did forward it to my Brother In Law - husband one, that I thought I’d end with Cauns Momma!  Yep she actually posted a comment - thanks Ma!  Talk to you soon!  This of course opened up some more blog ideas about who is reading your blog - that we will explore in a future entry.

BCPC is in the house this weekend and apparently has already made plans for us, lol  Ya’ll be easy and I’ll see yah on the 14th!

MAMA CAUN SPEAKS!

Every now and then I take a look at Pam’s site but rarely comment. This time I am compelled — I am CAUN’s Mom and he is the real thing. He is a very caring, charismatic, loving being. He truly believes that a stranger is a friend that he hasn’t met. He can go anywhere and find someone that he knows and will remember their name. How many of us have people in our family that we can hardly remember their given name? He has always been this way. When he was 6 he gave his favorite coat to a fellow classmate because he was cold and then proceeded to walked home in the rain. I am a typical Black mom so I went to the kid’s house and got “my” coat but did give him another one. He has gone without lunch (this kid loves to eat) because he gave his to other classmates that didn’t have anything to eat. He still holds doors open for ladies and is respectful to everyone especially females. He is a presence. If he is in the same the room and have the pleasure to meet him — you will feel it. I am very lucky to have as my son and eqally lucky and proud to have Pam as my daughter. It is a wonderful match full of love, respect and fun (they both should have “Fun” as their middle name). I know Mom’s are bias but he is the real deal. Love to my babies.

Mother CAUN

Today would have been my Daddy’s 76 Birthday. He passed away when I was 19 of a heart attack in a hotel room far from home.  There is nothing worse than making it to 19 years old with a Daddy and then him not being able to see the fruit of his labor.  He never got to see one Grandchild or anything and it pains me even today.

Folks daydream alot, one of my favorites is about the lottery; but I also daydream about what our family would have been if he ‘the rock’ were here today.  My family didn’t turn out ANYTHING as adults like I thought they would and it would have been a blessing to see how he would have circumvented this bs that exists today.

So I’d like to report my yearly post about my Daddy.  Ya’ll have a good weekend and I’ll see you on Monday.

Let me tell ya’ll, it’s been one hell of a week.  I’ve been humping on all fronts and it’s not lightening up, which is why i’m up at 6 am blogging and making birthday cards SIGH.  Let me just cut the faucet on and start the flow

• Caun has lost his wedding ring SIGH
• I think I like my tree braids straight
• The BB Curve is my new best friend
• We were at the mall last night & Caun wanted to get this mix CD. He has these cool headphones where you can listen to music and talk bluetooth on his Blackjack, ole boy asked for his memory card and downloaded it right to his phone!  I see the future of music at the negro mall, lol
• He also has porn he can download.  Only takes 2mb and he has Justin Slayer - I think I’ll be making a trip without them hehehe
• Two cases of grown men raping infants in one month eh?
• I missed reading blogs for two days and had to plow through 258 entries - I read all the personal ones and skimmed the commentary and gossip ones.
• As a blogger I feel proud that we now, courtesy of diligent bloggers like Crunk, YBF, Concrete Loop, Snitch and Bossip - we have created our own entertainment community that is getting the definite attention of celebrities.  Yea you’ve flown under the wire for a lonng time.  Stuff only came out in print months after but we now got OUR EYE ON YOU!  As always Kudos to us for making a niche and taking it to the next level! Entertainment tonite - fuck yah!  I get my entertainment elsewhere!
• Speaking of, I’m starting to believe what they say about TMZ - it does seem when they talk about black people they lose their ability to use standard english - what’s with the slang and whatnot?
• Amy winehouse is going to give the Grammy’s the boost they have been needing. I’ll be watching.
• Rights of passages are par for the course when you have young people in your home. Mini me gets her eyebrows done:

• A sista got 3 shirts, 2 complete jogging suits and a long skirt for $32. Why am I excited?  (a) they are not thrift store buys - Ashley Stewart got stuff 75% off and (b) they are a two sizes smaller!
• January 08, I’ll be getting off of the diet and maintaining the lifestyle.
• I’ll also be visiting Curves courtesy of Avon.
