Whew people, I am propped up over here because I am soooo TIRED!  I couldn’t even figure out how to open my eyelids enough to see less known place a contact - but here I am, grown folks be tired but have to push on you know.  Besides whatever I am multiply that by 100 and that’s Caun - the man is on his grind and hustle and then some….

Speaking of Hustle, I refuse to turn my TV to BET to watch any portion of Hustle and Flow the tv version - yet I might so that I can see them say Motherlover, lol  but then again, why ruin my song "Whoop That Trick" for me - I’ll pass..

Are you Black or American first? Well I’m Black first seeing as if I were to walk anywhere in the world without opening my mouth - I would be perceived as such first.  I have no issues or problems with identifying with being Black first and American second - it’s where I live but Black is who I am and I’m proud of it. 

I wonder if Barack is sexy when he gets to cussing?  Just wondering, lol

I can’t wait to see the alternate endings to "I Am Legend" I hope they satisfy me.

Mini-me has become fascinated with Musicals and Show Tunes and gives us rousing renditions of a lot of the popular tunes - voice lessons should finally start after all these years in a week or so - time to push her to the next level seeing as she’s trained her own damn voice for all these years, lol

We’ll be taking Mother/Daughter Graduation pictures! I’m just excited she actually thought that was cute.

New House is floating in the background of my mind while the previous tenants are evicted!  Dammit!  just let it go - just let it go.

Was there just a revolt in my last class of my Bachelors Degree?!  Is it messy? Are there emails flying back and forth from student and teacher.  YIKES!  Um, can I get this A (or B) and move the hell on please?

Why is what I’m taking to New Orleans heavy on my mind?  Can I wear pasties?  That would be a great N.O. Look, lol

I think I see N.E.R.D. and Gnarls Barkley riding alongside me musically coming into the spring.  In the back seat will be Ashanti (loving that song!) Looking forward to some of my classic groups to come out: Um - when does the annual summer New Edition tour get started.  I need to be there this year.

Far as I’m concerned we are kinda sorta in spring - I am looking forward to perusing my wardrobe from last year and adding a few pieces.  I’m going to stress to Mini-me that dresses are nice - cute summer dresses and flip flops or sandles are nice.

She’s growing up:  got herself a Wachovia Buxx Card as part of our ‘Breaking the Cycle of bad debt, being broke and being overdrawn" I think she’s gonna do fine - cause she don’t even play,lol

Exactly what do you accomplish by not letting someone merge on a crowded highway?  We all gotta get where we are going - you riding up in someone’s ass so someone else can’t merge when we ALL GOING 25mph - makes you look like the fucking fool you are!!

Did anyone else spend over $400 on GASOLINE these last two weeks?! 

And Finally - everyone in my house has the same issues…..LOL LOL LOL LOL 

 

Ok - so I was riding to work today and all of THIS and THIS was rolling through my head.  The conversation this sparked in my household was great actually.  Some of it further sparked some blog entries so let me being on what’s been on my mind as we start this Monday off…oh and I got ALOT on my mind - so you can go heat up your Smart Ones before you delve into this one…

People strap yourselves in this is gonna be a doozy!!  It’s been quite an interesting week, so let us begin.

 

Ok don’t scream!  Yes I am rocking "Pamela"  Took the Licious out the equation for a minute to reacquaint myself with that which God gave me.  Found out I had hella gray hair - full strand gray hair!!  Oh My Lawd!  However, God also gave me money and as soon as I get it up - the licious is back.  I miss my super powers ya’ll.  It’s part of my personality - I feel good, but I would feel Betta if I had my mane back intact, lol lol  It’s been nice - but I got’s to get my groove back and it comes in 1B!!!

I have been humming the tune from Mahogany lately because it pretty much sums up how I feel sometimes.  I have no idea where I am going.  I never have.  I just…go. 

It has started to move to the forefront of my mind again because of this college education I’m acquiring.  There is going to be more and more conversation about what exactly do I plan to DO with these degrees because by the time I finish up next winter - I will have three.  As I said before I began this journey, I DON’T KNOW.

Hey folks!  How was your weekend?  Were you one of the ones that was snowed in up to your neck?!  Mannn this is nothing but Global Warming - the weather is crazy.  We went from like 69 degrees to snow showers the next morning. Give me a break!

I know I wasn’t the only one that woke up this morning confused, in the dark and having overslept, lol lol  For some reason I didn’t get enough warning about the time change.  My body didn’t have any time to adjust.

I can’t even really remember what exactly did I do this weekend but sleep.  I felt…old this weekend. I just wanted to lay around and watch episodes of Flip this and Flip that house.  Throw in some Gene Simmons Family Jewels and I was set.  I think that my body knew that it needed to reserve because a project is on the way big time.

So after my last class my GPA jumped to 3.38.  I am quite happy about that. I wanted a nice cushion going into my masters program full time.  This class is tricky because the assignments are written in the familiar and beg you to expound from a personal nature - but you can’t fool me. I was one of four students who was singled out for doing the work CORRECTLY and wrapping it back up in the academic of the book. YEA BABY!  I am liking school at this point.  FIVE WEEKS and I’m done with the Bachelors.  I brought home a class ring brochure from Wall mart this weekend.  I didn’t get one in HS, but I intend to get one for my right hand.  I saw a nice one with small diamonds I have my eye on. 

So in the ever evolving adventure of the Magnegroes - we looked up not to long ago and realized that we had run out of space.  I know I know - but we got stuff, lol  So there was conversation since Mini-me is on her way to HS (out the district) and with BCPC coming every weekend and probably for the summer - the office space and her bedroom sharing had gotten old fast.  We had no plans to do anything about it, just conversation aloud. 

Well a couple of weekends we decided to look into neighborhoods that would get us a bit farther out of the hood (yea I said it, time to kinda move a bit more on the outskirts) and into a bigger space.  Still no plans, just enjoying a Saturday looking at homes. 

Introducing Our New Home:

4 Bedrooms/2.5 Baths, 2 wood burning fireplaces, LR, DR, Kitchen, Den, Deck, Fire pit, 2 car garage and my beloved porch. In a Cul de Sac, two blocks from the Lake in what has been known to be a majority toubob neighborhood.  Huge Home - reminded us of the Brady Bunch home, only $100 more than we pay now.  I had renamed Caun "Walter Lee" cause we were about to be "A Raisin in the Sun" on the real.  We get to the designated spot to speak with the Landlord (yes we are renters because our credit is fucked, we like being able to be flexible and it works for us at this time)  and who was sitting up in there but A BROTHER, lol lol lol  He has the distinction of being one of the first three families that bought in this community in ‘75 (which is what gave us the Brady Bunch feel) and so everything went smoothly and we move it the middle of next month…God Willing (cause something might happen never know - I’m just claiming it now since that really seems to work).
