I am gonna warn you now - this is going to be about as random as a sisah can get. Just a jumble of thoughts etc.
Are ya’ll liking my Animated Alter Ego. I LOVE HER! She will be around for awhile.
I curled up this weekend to about 4 hours of HGTV followed by about 6 hours of this new channel Discovery Investigation. All the while my mind was stretching and expanding and just enjoying the time alone. I appreciate the family allowing me to cocoon.

What it is good people?! I hope that everyone had a successful week and that the weekend will set it off for you. Am I the only one in that horrid space of between seasons? Today 75 tomorrow 35 or some shit. Okayyy - I am SOO tired of wearing my winter clothes. I never tire of wearing my boots but I want to rediscover my spring summer wardrobe. It will be our first whole summer downtown and I have to be ready, lol I bought a really nice spring hat that I am saving for Mothers Day. Yep I’m at that age where I wanna rock a hat for Mothers Day - just kill me now, lol lol
I do want to say that no matter what the freaking weather is - sundresses over long sleeve scoop neck tops went out when you were EIGHT YEARS OLD! I almost wrecked the truck laughing. Girlfriend you so know better.
As my girl to the upper right mentioned - Caun surprised me and took me on a date last night where we got a two for the price of one movie deal (one we created WINK WINK) and we saw "Meet the Browns" and "Vantage Point" both were good. I wish Meet the Browns had of come out before Daddy’s Little Girls and especially before Why Did I Get Married? It looks a step before these movies where he is showing some growth. I was familiar but hadn’t been formally introduced to Mr. Brown - I have never been a fan of the plays but I put it on my netflix, because Mr. Brown is worth it, lol lol
As countdown to being a college graduate is nipping at my heels - I started the application process for Graduate School. They won’t let me take as much time off as I wanted - so I’ll be back in the books end of May. SIGH - well I’ll have like a month off, so I can’t complain. On my night stand is "books for when school lets out" and I am looking forward to sitting back and reading for leisure.
Right about now, nothing else is really going on and I like it like that. I am anxious because there are several things in the fire and when it gets to poppin I better be well rested.
R&B Live is in a transformational stage as we try to figure out how to get ‘us’ to come out and support and enjoy themselves. We are pressing forward - but it’s a dark tunnel sometimes I tell yah.
Is anyone else obsessed with craigs list? Things happen for a reason and I’m so glad I have gotten obsessed in a financial drought! I’d be broke for real! I’m about to dump a whole heap of stuff on Freecycle as well (a yahoo organization).
Well I’m rambling - next week I’ll tell you about my letter to my…sister. It’s spring, time for my annual let me see what relationship I can try to repair.
Ya’ll be easy!
OH HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARYYYYYYY!!!!

I wanted to repost this because it includes the story of the Machete - it’s been awhile, so it might be a fresh read to some folks - enjoy!
Growing up with militant parents was quite interesting to say the least. Before joining the ‘nation’ my mom was a afro pick, fist up, huge afro card carrying Black Panther, Dad was a….hustler, lol Joining forces they became radical militant muslims and thus I grew up in a household that was all about the revolution. At any point and time my home was full of muslims and other outside the mainstream individuals and while the smooth sounds of miles davis filled the air, they ate smoked and drank coffee and talked about the state of the world till the wee hours of the morning.
Apparently the 70’s were just as turbulant as the 60’s and folks were fed up. We were living in Atlanta off of Cacase Rd. and though from a child’s eye, I didn’t see anything wrong - apparently there was. I don’t remember the exact conversation but I do remember I was around 7 1/2 or 8 at the time. My mom told me that my dad had decided that it was time for us to leave America and just go somewhere else to live. She wasn’t coming right away, but she would join us. We were selling everything we owned and just up and leaving..the comforts of home. I guess my Dad spun a globe or something, a la Coming to America, because our destination…..Central America! Even at that young age, I was like cool we getting on a plane go on down there, we got some kinda nice house and that’s just where we gonna live…….

I’ve totally left this sitting, lol So ya’ll know give me a weekend and about $30 bucks and I might show up with different hair, lol lol I’m Gemini and Yellow - so sue me, lol I was loving this - so here it is. That whole animated thing is cool and it would be cooler if I could get a better representative of myself, but the coolest thing is self love - so I’ll just be PAM and enjoy that - it’s hard enough to get to the point where you just wanna be your damn self - ya heard?
So I know my reviewer talked about my recapping in painful detail my weekend but mannn this weekend was the busiest yet. I had quite a social whirlwind.
