Today feels like it’s going to be a good day.  I have blogged this week.  I am feeling really good about where I have been coming from.  No fluff this week.  It has been a good writing week.

So I was spending some time with Lord this morning, courtesy of Tonex and Ty Tribbitt.  Boy that Ty - he have it going!  The truck was rocking, however - in listening to the live version of "Joy", I felt this weird vibe that if I were to splice in the Purple Rain soundtrack, it would have been seamless, lol  I mean "Baby I’m A Star"  wasn’t but maybe two chords off from "Joy", that kinda worries me, lol lol  However, it felt good and ya’ll know I will pull out my selected gospel tracks add a Muslim twist and get my praise on, lol

Ok, you know how we all have our musical taste and sometimes you have a song or something that everyone is looking at you sideways but it is your JAM!  LOL  Well I was looking for a cheap place to get some tunes found my favorite old site!!!  They misspelled it and changed from a .com to a .org - but it’s them. Songs are 15 cents and they have some stuff and some imports that just run me crazy.  Who knew Thriller came out with bonus tracks and mixes in Australia, lol lol  So anyhoo- why did I find THAT JAM of mines!  Its by this group called Ladae.  During the Boys to Men time period - they came out with ONE SONG under Al B Sure!  They took the beginning of "Show You the Way to Go", by the Jacksons and made MY JAM!  It’s called Party Tonite.  Man when I tell you I was screaming and jamming in the office last night.  That was sooo satisfying, lol lol   I had a good evening last night just based on that.  $20 is gonna get me around 130 songs, lol lol lol

Also on music - is that Swizz Beatz remix of "Just Fine" by Mary not the CLUB BANGER!  Oh my damn!  I just wanna wop the night away.

Oh and am I the only one who is kinda pissed that Family, Fame, Celebrity, Cerebral Mis-firings and the Paparazzi drove Brittney crazy - thus robbing us of her promoting the new CD she has out.  The CD is not bad at all. I like it a lot. Reminds me of how they fucked Mike over concerning the Invincible CD.  I still say if he were not blocked from promoting and would have been able to have videos etc. especially for the work done by Rodney Jerkins - it would have been the bomb.  Those cuts are the close to classic Mike as you can get. 

Speaking of Mike, is it just me or the negro is back and creeping up on us like a lion in the jungle?  Radio stations are playing him, Satellite is jocking him and the new version of "Wanna Be Startin Something", with AKON is like in the 30’s on the hot 100 charts.  Be on the lookout for some kinda tribute to him during the Super bowl. 

After Prince last year - exactly who in the hell wants to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.  Yea Ok.  I’ll be at MWC.

Have I spoken about how much I love my freaking Blackberry Curve.  I have loaded my newest obsession - a financial program that interfaces with the desktop.  Can be imported into Excel.  Now we are going to stay on track.  This weekend I have to put the new songs I put on my IPOD on my phone and we are ready to go.

For ATL folks - Ryan Cameron has been a BREATH OF FRESH AIR while Frank Ski’s annoying ass has been on vacation!  They are wasting him at the 2 o’clock slot.  He needs to be there to wake you up in the morning.  I wish he would find a station where he could do the mornings, because I’d be listening.  Now if they could just get Sophia to shut the hell up. At first it was kinda funny but not it’s just grating on my nerves.  I nominate B. Scott to do the entertainment!  As well as, I’m about tired of Steve.  He’s become this ‘answer to all ills’ kinda guy and it to has become grating to my nerves.  Kinda like Ilyana Van Zant - been married a dozen time and busy trying to tell folks how you are the expert.  Ok, Ok, you a man and you know a lot about how men think - but damn!  All this constant advice and I’m all knowing tone of voice….ok we get it!

Masters classes are intense.  Man - that was a lot of writing last night.  Towards the last paragraph, my mind started wandering, but I think I did pretty good. I am stoked that my late week one work must have been very complete, because he didn’t take off any points for it being late!

The debate was interesting.  Both of them had the ‘what the fuck?" look in their faces, which I found quite funny.  It’s like running for President will beat you the hell down - then you gotta be President, yea no wonder you get a few months to rest up and get that together before you get sworn in.

More and more as I hear people around me talk etc. I get the feeling that as they stand in front of that booth on Tuesday and look at the candidates - especially for black people - all the rhetoric is going to go out the window.  We have scars and we are an emotional people - all of the people who have come out the woodwork and registered etc. to vote could care less about the actual election - they just wanna pull the lever for a black man. Especially the younger generation. The hip hop generation.
It’s going to be emotionally hard to stand and look at his name as a black person and then vote for someone else - especially that group that is not well versed in politics etc.

I’m not talking about the higher income brackets regular black folks or those versed in the language and who understanding the entire trickle impact the President actually has in their lives because they are in the income bracket to feel it.  For the rest of us broke negroes -  it’s about the feeling we gonna get and us just wanting to see some jaws drop. The feeling is going to be NOW BITCHES! Fuck You and Analyze THIS! LOL

Well, Mini-me is having a sleep over so we were privvy to a once in a lifetime event - she cleaned the whole house, lol lol  I already put my vodka in the bedroom.  Yea getting me some mixers and just hole up in there and drink and fall asleep.
