I was watching Access Hollywood this evening and something so magical and so eternally wonderful came on that television screen that I didn’t even realize I almost broke my leg as I hopped up to run around the living room.

There it was before my eyes, something I’ve been waiting on for awhile now. Things had been leaking out: First word of an anniversary edition with new songs. Then this SONG all things that were starting to spark a small ember of fire in my belly. Well now that has turned into an inferno thanks to Access Hollywood.

November 12th I will be getting about 10 copies and I ain’t playing about that shit. I’m looking now for the actual cover. I am all over up in my Mike sites looking and I’ll find it soon. Today was career day.  Goddess had forbade Caun and I from attending as per usual (rollin eyes) so I didn’t think anything of it.  Imagine my surprise when this walked down the steps this morning:

Well I’m the mother of a 14 year old!  I am most appreciative to God for thus far sparing me from the horror stories that I hear on the daily.  Luck (cause sometimes that’s all it boils down to) is definately on our side.  We have 1822 days to get her to 18 - God please continue to bless us in this area.

Caun and I awoke early so that I could decorate the living room. As you have probably guess from previous pictures the fireplace is decoration central, lol lol  The sun was shining so brightly, I knew it was going to be a good day.  We should have let sleeping beauty lie, but we got excited and bum rushed her with our birthday dance - to her chagrin.

I had prepared a hearty breakfast of which I ate 5 points of (Grrrrr) and she opened her gifts.  She got a nice haul including 5 outfits from Grandma (of which 3 we could work with) and obligatory money from her fathers side of the family.  I was most excited about the whole Vin Diesel package. She was giddy, lol lol  A calendar, a pillowcase and a charm bracelet - I ROCK AS A MOM!  Thanks Ebay!! 

The sun was really calling us so we all got dressed and basically hung out in it all day. We went by some houses in the neighborhood where we would like to send her to school. That was an exercise in even I couldn’t make lemonade out of those lemons.  We are willing to sacrifice but not THAT much, lol lol 

We also got in some BTW time. This weekend was our homecoming and I was fiending to be out and about with the alumni.  I sure got it in!  We went for a little tailgating at the school.  I’m sooo glad that I have a husband who is liked!  Ya’ll don’t even know - if your SO or spouse is not a likable person - it just makes it hard.  He came right on in, got with folks, got him a sandwich and a soda and was chill. Meanwhile, my fast tail had to take the ‘walk’ you know walk around to all the classes out partying etc. and well just be fast, lol lol 

Macaroni Grill is where we broke bread for the birthday.  Always love that place. Good Good Food.  I had some Chicken Marsala well I had 1/2 my Chicken Marsala and a glass of sangria.  I just tapped out my points on GP.  I had plenty, that I had saved just for that evening.

Switch gears and Caun and I got dressed and headed out to the afterparty for BTW.  Since we missed the game - I was going to go and at least party for a little while.  We went to a 30 and over club to wait on folks.  Mannnn it was starting out shaky.  I was yawning, he was yawning. I was expecting Peobo Bryson to drop from the ceiling in a Soul of R&B Time Life shitck any moment, lol lol  Then the DJ arrived and put on “Cupid Shuffle” and it was as if the building shifted from all the broads coming to do that dance, lol

By midnite though it was on and poppin.  I LOVE hanging with my class and we had a good time!  We danced and laughed and basically kept it young and sexy in a room full of, no offense, some old ass negroes.  DAYUM!  Life got you beat down like that?!  Around midnite I decided I wanted to party hop - so we drove wayy from Old National to Metropolitan to go to the bowling alley where another party was suppose to be going on. I should have known.  We damn near got a cavity search to get in only to find out that the party had been shut down due to foolywagness.  Whew I was partied out by that time and crawled on in the bed around 2:00am.

Caun and I have been on something or the other cause we intended to go to the mall to get a new clasp for Goddess’ bracelet and ended up with a popcorn and drinks (me water) watching Saw, lol lol  Made me kinda sick to my stomach - which is the sign it was a good movie. Who are those sick mofo’s who do that movie?! 

All in all it was a good weekend.  So this week I have two huge meetings back to back, this last class I’m taking is taking itself wayy to seriously and I’m kinda not overly interested in it.  Trying to decide if Friday I want to join folks in the No Black Money Spent Day - dang we were trying to take the girls to see the Bee Movie, lol  I’ll see - I need to investigate exactly why are we doing this? 

Girlfriends and The Game are going to be ON FIRAH tonite, so remember to watch. Well let me gather up all the other stuff I’m gonna be doing while I’m in this meeting! 

Wow did this week fly by!  It’s Friday already - I’m so freaking glad.  Well I am sorta busy so let’s get this started and out the way - it’s late as hell anyhoo, lol

Well tomorrow is Goddess’ 14th Birthday so Monday will be full of weekend fun and celebration recaps.  Ya’ll have a good weekend and let’s get the flow a flowin!

I better see some dancing Egyptians and a light show coming out of a pyramid YOUNG LADY!  That’s how spectacular that project better be.

OK OK I will exercise, I don’t know why it’s so important to you and you throwing out that ‘you do things I want to do’ just makes me mad.

Yea I’m starting to say what I really feel about that situation, even if it costs me our relationship - I’ll get over it.

Why must we keep focusing on that?!

America’s Next Top and Miss Jay’s Afro!  Hmm about Ebony.  Ebony is the type of girl that is more comfortable in the environment where she’s made to believe that she’s the most beautifulest girl in the world. Where ever she’s from she’s as good as sliced bread and being in the competition had forced her out the spotlight and was cracking that world. Remember she came in with much attitude and then it slowly just disappeared. That’s why you can’t always take when your momma tell you - you’re beautiful as the end all be all. Cause sometimes out where the rest of the world’s momma told them they were beautiful too - you might fall in the ranks. She couldn’t take direction/instruction etc. was Tyra’s comments - well if she don’t get that together she won’t be successful period.
 

Girlfriends is really scattered this season it’s like they focus on one storyline and the rest are silly. Last night it was about Mya. But first, Lynn is moving ahead in one area and regressing in another. Damn Joan - FIND YOU SOMETHING TO DO!! That argument between them was serious. I have never had that much foul stuff to say about someone that is my very bestest friend - say whats on your mind why don’t cha, lo lol lol  I did laugh at the we decided that you would NOT take relationship advice from Joan when we married line, lol lol Mya Mya Mya - I’m not sure what her issue was. All those years thinking about being pregnant and then deciding ‘you got this’ when the wish finally came true.
 

The Game is my new favorite Jason is Foul. Tasha needs to stop leading young girls to bymyselfville and if you wanna wear hoochie shorts Mel, make sure they are skin tight. I was hollaring at the baggy booty shorts Mel had on, lol lol
 

I think Salt’s getting on my nerves. This whole, I gotta save Pepa from herself thing would be irritating to me. Pepa a grown ass woman and though she might not be living the lifestyle that Salt lives - it seems to work for her. She isn’t looking bad, she has a nice home, seems as if she’s taking care of her business. I wonder if everything is really honky dory all up in Salt’s house - sometimes when folks all up into what you doing….wrong, it’s because they shit ain’t straight. I was really laughing at the dinner because dude reminded me of heavy set dude in Waiting to Exhale, lol I expected him to do that football swish move when he got up from the table, lol Yea Salt is working my nerves - right now.
 

I am so glad Run and his family are back on television.  They all have grown a bit, especially Russy nem.
