As the stepmother of two children, ages 12 and 10, and becoming their stepmother when they were 4 and 2, respectively, I can totally relate to how you are feeling. The only difference is their dad and I had to send them back to their mom, too. It's hard for the kids to adjust to a new home, new rules, a new lifestyle.
