When you wish upon a star

As we stood in front of the castle, a light drizzle misting the air, we heard tinkerbell talk and your heart started pumping and the fireworks started going you couldn’t help but get emotional but then again Disney will punk you that’s there job!

Well Happy Monday. We are on the highway headed towards home.

We took over 400 photos that I will have to weed through, so stay tuned. In the meantime, let me muse….

  • I am a black spot on a white sheet. Good Lawd have I toasted this summer! that Florida sun is no joke.

  • Always read and reread the reservation. I didn’t see it was double beds. Not cool for two adults. I can’t wait to lay in my own bed.

  • To quote my nephew “everything is about Disney” lol

  • Just like last time, Disney is full of Anglos and foreigners. We are just not partaking. It is expensive on some other level, but I’m telling you its worth it. Adults be squoze in Dumbos ears with a look of glee just like the kids.

  • Disney will always be my example of how to move crowds and keep everyone happy. Yea you wait damn near an hour on some stuff if you didn’t get a fast pass, but you never get upset.

  • I need a foot transplant. Day two I was almost crippled lol. I recovered and my feet never swole but they are still recovering.

  • Day one: Animal Kingdom, Day 2: Epcot and MGM, Day 3: Magic Kingdom

  • My 7 year old nephew who we took along with us lives a very sheltered life but he’s being raised by a 60 year old so he’s old. He got on everything. I mean that boy did Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror…everything

  • Why Disney will be the most magical place in the world forever? My Nephew stopped for a photo op at the sword and the stone. You know the story of Prince Valiant. Well he grabbed the sword to pretend to pull it out and it started to move! Here comes Disney personnel. They gather this huge crowd and tell the tale of the sword and that they been looking for a prince. They ask him to show how he pulled out the sword and he does and he’s crowned Prince of Philadelphia.  The look on his face….PRICELESS!!  He got a certificate and a sticker labeling him a prince - we also walked in the parade - just fabulous.

  • It was hella cool hanging out with my Brother and his family. Ten of us rolling deep.  We hope to do something like this again.

  • It seems as if this portion of my life is about traveling, so we are seriously considering purchasing us a time share.  The one my brother stayed in was quite nice.

Postscript:  I started this via the Treo in the car and have ended it in my living room.  Expect pictures by Friday Fandango. More stories as they come to my memory.

Oh it sounds like you are having fun, despite the double beds!! UGH. K and I had to share a double in Illinois- my neices basement- no heat- January.

You’d think the small bed would have helped keep warm, but we were miserable!!

Pam, I’m glad that you and your family enjoyed yourselves. It’s good to take time off and just have fun. I bet the kids will always remember the family trips and all the fun they had.

One more thing. I’ve tagged you for a meme. *hee hee*

Love the sword story with your nephew - what a great experience!

We’ll make that trip in a few years. I want my kiddoes to be old enough to have *some* memory of going there, LOL (they are 3 and 5 right now).
