The Loveee Boat

Disclaimer:  This will get mushy, if you are allergic to love or me being in the throes of it - please feel free to continue to your next favorite blog

  • 551 dayssss give or take a few. That’s the amount of time I have been involved with Mr. Caun Magnegro.  When I look in my mind the snapshops breeze past like a slide presentation.  Some in color, some in black and white but all full of life.  We are still labeled the honeymooners and usually evoke gagging signs from people both single and married, lol  That’s ok, I’m loving every minute of it. I tried the other day to compare the length and depth of this relationship (because even though we are married, it’s a relationship) to some of my others and it’s interesting when you look at things.  I seem to see myself as being enthusiastic, alot of times to a fault, diving right into the deep water - lifevest be damned.  My relationships can all be summed up with that parable the tortise and the hare - I’m all up in some other plane and there is the man just a moseying along; each of us with our own individual agendas towards our own finish lines.  The difference in this is that we both stepped on the same road at the same time and continue to run and/or walk this one together.  I be damn that I had the relevation that I’ve never walked the same path with a man before - whether it be by my own doing or lack of seeing what he was doing.  Dayum I tell yah!

Wake Up Dammit! (I Love that Petey Green!) How ya’ll be?! I hope everyone had a good weekend. For the most part I was on ‘operation turtle’ which means - I was moving slowwww, lol

I caught up with plenty of reading of the blogs - glad to see everyone is breathing in and out one day at a time. Welcome back Cheznikki! Ain’t 40 Fabulous?! One of the issues with reading so many blogs is that you don’t comment on all of them - but I do like to let folks know I’m reading and checking yah out. I even added a few new ones. One day I’ll update the sidebar.

The hubby and I attended a CD release party on Saturday. Miggie 9 released his poetic rock collaboration “Revolution Road” at the Kaboose. The set was nice, it was unique. The room was adorned with some fabulous artwork, including a huge picture of a vintage Mike. Unfortunately the air wasn’t working and it got hotter than bunk 9 in the Middle Passage, so the party broke up immediately after the set.

Tuesday Five oops um Eight, lol

Pamalicious on Jul 24th 2007 06:05 pm

Aziza informed me that she had tagged me.  What a welcome home, lol  I think I’m late with this cause I’ve seen it around, but it fits nicely in with my Tuesday Five Theme, so here goes….My 8 Thangs About Me:  Summer Edition!

1. We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.

2. Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.

4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
HERE GO’S!

8 Thangs About Me:

A.  I can’t swim a lick!  For some reason I never learned how to swim. Ok I can dog paddle, but I am afraid of depth - so that doesn’t serve me too well.  I can’t even tread water.  I actually hate it because I feel like I should be doing water sports.

B.  One of my dreams is to sunbathe nude.  I really like the way my tanned skin looks and after “janet” told me about her nude sunbathing on a boat on her honeymoon, I’ve been itching to let the girls enjoy the sun.

C.  I’ve been to Magic Kingdom twice and each time when I walk out onto main street - I begin to cry.

D.  Never more than in the summer, do I wish I would lose the weight.  I say that because I just plain won’t do what it takes to get it off.  However, I feel a bit scared because I think at this point in my life, I would be a hoochie in my dress if I were in like a size 10 or something - so maybe I should just stay my 16 and be half a hoochie, lol

F.  I can no longer wear my heels and strappy sandles like I want to because of the diabetes.  It affects everyone somewhere and it has affected me in my ability to wear heels.  I mourn daily over this one…daily.

G.  I want to take a picture with waist length weave in the ocean.  I think that’s hella sexy.  I also want to take a nude picture of me and Caun on the beach.

H.  A job I still am angry that I never got a chance to have was working at six flags as a youth.  My mom wouldn’t let me work and I was upset about this for awhile.

I.  One of my favorite summer memories was getting mobbed at a Billy Idol concert at Six Flags one summer.  The crowd got wild and I fell over some chairs and when all the ruckus was over - I was sans glasses…and…shirt!  I  walked around in my bra until ‘magically’ I got a top and I’ll leave it at that.

I’m not sure who to tag - but ya’ll just pass it along and keep the train going.

When you wish upon a star

Pamalicious on Jul 23rd 2007 03:57 pm

As we stood in front of the castle, a light drizzle misting the air, we heard tinkerbell talk and your heart started pumping and the fireworks started going you couldn’t help but get emotional but then again Disney will punk you that’s there job!

Well Happy Monday. We are on the highway headed towards home.

We took over 400 photos that I will have to weed through, so stay tuned. In the meantime, let me muse….

  • I am a black spot on a white sheet. Good Lawd have I toasted this summer! that Florida sun is no joke.

  • Always read and reread the reservation. I didn’t see it was double beds. Not cool for two adults. I can’t wait to lay in my own bed.

  • To quote my nephew “everything is about Disney” lol

  • Just like last time, Disney is full of Anglos and foreigners. We are just not partaking. It is expensive on some other level, but I’m telling you its worth it. Adults be squoze in Dumbos ears with a look of glee just like the kids.

  • Disney will always be my example of how to move crowds and keep everyone happy. Yea you wait damn near an hour on some stuff if you didn’t get a fast pass, but you never get upset.

  • I need a foot transplant. Day two I was almost crippled lol. I recovered and my feet never swole but they are still recovering.

  • Day one: Animal Kingdom, Day 2: Epcot and MGM, Day 3: Magic Kingdom

  • My 7 year old nephew who we took along with us lives a very sheltered life but he’s being raised by a 60 year old so he’s old. He got on everything. I mean that boy did Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror…everything

  • Why Disney will be the most magical place in the world forever? My Nephew stopped for a photo op at the sword and the stone. You know the story of Prince Valiant. Well he grabbed the sword to pretend to pull it out and it started to move! Here comes Disney personnel. They gather this huge crowd and tell the tale of the sword and that they been looking for a prince. They ask him to show how he pulled out the sword and he does and he’s crowned Prince of Philadelphia.  The look on his face….PRICELESS!!  He got a certificate and a sticker labeling him a prince - we also walked in the parade - just fabulous.

  • It was hella cool hanging out with my Brother and his family. Ten of us rolling deep.  We hope to do something like this again.

  • It seems as if this portion of my life is about traveling, so we are seriously considering purchasing us a time share.  The one my brother stayed in was quite nice.

Postscript:  I started this via the Treo in the car and have ended it in my living room.  Expect pictures by Friday Fandango. More stories as they come to my memory.
