It’s the weekend ya’ll!  Man I have been doing these late ass post all week, but I gotta fit it in when I can get it in.  You know how it is.

Well the end of another week, thank God.  I haven’t been as focused as I’d like to be and now I’m kinda scrambling to finish up some stuff before next week. 

It’s suppose to be hot as hades this weekend, so I am prepping for a powder dusting, lol  We are going to hit the road and go to Tennessee for the day tomorrow. That should be fun. Doing The Tenessee Aquarium, Ruby Falls and The Incline Railway.  As always expect pictures, you know our lives are recorded in pictures, lol

Goddess and her cousins are all over the place about whether or not they are coming to Atlanta. I’m just about tired of the whole mess.  The adults need to make the decision and keep it at that.  I’ve already lost her spot in camp for the next two weeks, as well as my freaking $50 and I am holding on for dear life to this money in case they do come.

Also add another trip to our portfolio this summer. We’ve been invited for a couples weekend as an expansion of the MWC (Married Women’s Club) to Charleston.  This should be alot of fun!  I’ll speak more on that as it draws near.

Well I also have an announcement - you know I’m a planner and a folder carrier. Well we are about to embark on another adventure and it will probably get it’s very own folder (to the right, make sure you check there often, I posted some new stuff)…

Growing Up NOI

 

Starting this religion class made me think about my own upbringing in the Nation of Islam. I have read a couple of books by former members who grew up in the nation.  I find them funny because they speak about things that as a child growing up, you wouldn’t really be affected by to begin with, lol  - so the books have not been from a ‘child’s’ perspective but from the perspective the now adult child has adopted based on the parents current perception.

Ok, It’s like 2:43 pm est.  and I’m just getting around to blogging,lol.  Actually it was because I don’t really have anything deep to say, lol  So prepare for some rambling - which probably is the true essence of a good blog entry anyway.

Well word came down today that Goddess tour has been extended and we’ll see her sometime in July.  Oh My Dayum!  Caun and I are like Ohhh Yeaaaa!  I am putting some duckets in the mail to help with feeding her and that’s that.  I have been SO BLESSED that since this child was six, she has been ‘touring’ during the summer somewhere.  She is well traveled for a 13 year old and I hope that only gets better. 

The Disney trip is on.  I got overwelmed because I was basically trying to do too much.  I booked our hotel today.  $414 for Four Days and the place has five pools and some other stuff.  I decided to cancel out all that Disney forever and a day.  Goddess has been I know about 8 times and my nephew is gonna be excited and overwelmed just from going anywhere.  So we will do ONE PARK/ONE DAY and that will be Magic Kingdom (love that place) and then we will do TWO PARKS/ONE DAY at Universal.  That’s two different ends of the spectrum and about a $200 savings than just doing the massive park hoppers for Disney.  It looks like we are gonna make this work. In conjunction with the five pools at our hotel and the resort atmosphere at my brothers, our four days in Orlando should be fun.  It just dawned on me we will be down there on our six month anniversary.  That’s fun!

My blogsphere has turned into a mini-discussion board. There is a circle of folks and we are all reading and commenting on the same blogs.  Time for me to branch out and read some other people.  Expand.  I need to see what Toubobs are doing in their lives, lol.  First I have to figure out how to go find em, lol  I feel like I am stuck in the ‘African American Reading’ section of the bookstore.

This is TMI, but I had the best damn sex ever last evening.  Good Lawd!  Sometimes I want to just break out and do a sex entry, but I need to calm my ass down.  There are eyes that shouldn’t be privvy to that information.

Neither Caun or I particularly be ‘feeling’ our parents, yet we like each others parents, lol  And both sets have told the opposite of us that they are so happy that ‘we’ have come into the respective families.  Interesting. 

There’s a slushy machine downstairs that had Peach Schnapps flavor yesterday and today Vanilla Absolut.  I need to really look into getting me a little bit.  I feel like I should be buying me a flask - but is that just too much?  LOL

Well I have actually blogged, lol  Tomorrow should be much more interesting.  Oh did I tell you that I began Judeo-Christian Thought class yesterday.  If it wasn’t for the two Athiest, I would be ass out. This should be interesting to say the least.

• Noone understands how to this day me and Mobetta can remain friends.  There’s always this perception that something might jump off.  It makes me kinda irritated, because if you know me, you know that ain’t me.  I’m not ever stepping out on my beloved husband, so dead that.  If you are picking somewhat wisely then you wern’t in it for carnal reasons to begin with - therefore if that part is over, you can successfully (in alot of instances) move beyond and develop a regular friendship. • It’s almost July and there are no breakout summer jams (at least not for me) the state of music is in a crisis if you ask me.
